Online and Video Consultation

Engage Consult was developed as an online patient to doctor, non-emergency engagement platform to help practices enhance efficiencies and boost patient access. It can be used within a single practice or as part of a wider network to help manage demand more efficiently.

Fully configurable, Engage Consult allows patients to communicate safely and securely with their practice via online messaging and video consultation. Here are a few of Engage Consult’s features:

  • Collaboration – our innovative feature enables each practice to ‘share’ online consultation requests with patient consent between themselves and other contracted NHS providers.

  • Outbound Patient Messaging – a powerful tool to help manage QOF and Enhanced Services activity.

  • Instant Medical History (IMH) – developed by clinicians presents symptom histories to practice staff as easy-to-read, narrative-style reports, placed in the record at the click of a button.

  • Floating Toolbar – allows the practice user to access messages and workflow capabilities whilst remaining in their Clinical System environment.

Engage Consult is a single platform solution that includes online messaging, video consultation and outbound messaging. Simple and easy to use, patients can access our platform directly from your practice website or via the NHS App. Patients can also use their NHS Login details to access Engage Consult, without the need to undertake a second identity verification. Carers can access the system on behalf of registered patients using proxy access and be included in video consultations using multipoint 4-way video consultation. It’s also the ideal solution for PCNs proactively managing patients residing in care facilities.

Practitioners can communicate with patients and carers using safe, secure, and sophisticated 2-way messaging. All parties can share images, documents, test results and questionnaires at any point in the patient journey, helping clinicians decide on the best consultation method based on the patient’s needs.

Engage Consult is fully configurable by the practice. You can:

  • Customise your hours of operation to meet staffing capacity and demand.

  • Set autofill responses for extensively used outbound messages.

  • Define a workflow by creating ‘groups’ to manage consultation requests that match your preferred way of working.
